A Swede is a film which is made without a budget. They are short films which show the basis of a film and the important parts in it. They are only a couple of minutes long, however some are slightly longer. Here is a swede which I found to be interesting.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOwNwsxaW5k By making our swede we found that film production is diffucult in finding good locations where you cant hear sounds in the background. we also found that finding that you have to find the correct lighting and location in order to make your movie come across in the way you want it. for example ours was a horror comedy so we needed a dark location. we produced our film during the day but we needed it to be dark, we solved this problem by picking a location which we could make pitch black,we used the drama studio and solved the problem. just like in other big movies, they encounter problems which they need to solve, however in big movies they would film at night and would not come across this problem. During pre production in film the financial stage is confirmed and the cast, locations, director and cinematographer is set and agreed. Also the screenplay is almost complete. during this process the script is taken apart scene by scene to sort out necessary locations, costumes, cast members, props, and special and visual effects. A schedule is produced in order to make sure that things like locations are available at certain times for the film makers. Things like sets are constructed, the finance side is agreed. A crew is hired and a date is put in place for principle photography. There will also be a time where a read through of the script will take place and all the cast with speaking roles, the head of different departments, the director, producers, financers and publicists will gather together. The screen play may still be being worked on at this point but the scenes are often numbered and kept this way to avoid mis understanding. parts can be deleted or added but scenes will still be on the same page and have the same scene number. film producers prepare and supervise a film during the making of it before showing it to a film distributor or financing entity. It is their job to find an appropriate screen writer if the original script is not being used or if the original script is chosen but there are faults in it, it is up to them to hire a script doctor. On top of this they have the final say in which film director is chosen and cast questioning. The film director directs the making of a film, he is in charge of the films artistic and dramatic aspects. They visulise what they want the film to be then guide the actors and technical crew in order to make their vision.
