What I learnt from creating my own swede

During pre production we came across some problems. These were location, props, lighting and time, however we soon resolved them. We learnt that in order to create a swede there needed to be alot of preperation and planning. We needed a location where it was dark but also where you could clearly see the actors, we filmed during the day which proved to be difficult, with thought we asked permission to use the drama studio and the problem was resolved. We needed props which you could not buy for a certain scene and due to the size it needed to be it was not possible to buy, we solved this problem by making it ourselves. We didnt have alot of time to create our swede and therefore it was rushed, the lighting also was not correct. With this in hind sight we learnt we needed to be  more prepared and put more thought and time into pre production. During post production myself and my partner I was editing with had never done editing before, it was new to us. Luckily we had enough footage to work with however we came across technical difficulties. We needed spooky music to add to the eeriness of our swede. We overcame this by trial and error. In the end we overcame our problems and we learnt a great deal about effort, time and planning that needs to go into a swede to make it successful.
